(Verse 1)
Another day of provision has come and gone again.
The dark night approaches as the flock is gathered in,
But the Shepherd watches closely as He counts them one by one.
When the last sheep passes through the gate,
His daily work is done.
(Chourse)
But He'll walk the cold, dark hillside in search of one lost lamb.
He will never rest until that one is safe and warm again.
He will bring the wondering soul back in so the number is complete.
The Shepherd never sleeps,
But He's always counting sheep.
(Verse 2)
I'm so ashamed to say I've wondered far from His leading way.
Yeilding to temptation causing me to stray,
But the Shepherd knows without Him I can't make it on my own,
So He comes to rescue me once more and he takes me safely Home.
(Chourse)
Woooooooah! (Chourse)
Ending:
Come and lead us, Gentle Shepherd!
