Çağtay Akyol was born in Balıkesir in 1969. He started playing harp with Assistant Prof. Kaysu Doğansoy at Ankara State Conservatory. Akyol gave a concert with Ursula Holliger at the Festival Pontino di Musica in Sermoneta, Italy.
