Giovanni Cavaccio (b Bergamo, c 1556; d there, 11 Aug 1626 ) was an Italian composer. He was maestro di cappella of Bergamo Cathedral (1581-98) and of S Maria Maggiore there (1598-1626). He published at least 15 books of masses, Magnificats, psalms, hymns and motets, mostly for large forces in the Venetian polychoral style, as well as secular and keyboard works. Read more on Last.fm.
