The Drongos were formed in New Zealand to support a theater troupe, but came to New York in 1979 and found success as a street quartet. Their lineup included Jean McAllister (guitar, keyboards), Stanley John Mitchell (drums). Richard Kennedy (guitar) and Tony McMaster (bass).
