The Kokoon was formed by Danyx (vocals, bass, keyboard) and Dirk (guitar, drums, bass, keyboard) in Berlin. Danyx, a former ballet dancer, met Dirk at a concert of his former band. After this band broke up, Dirk and Danyx started to make music together, first as studio-duo, then also live on stage with various musicians.
