UFO or Die originally started life as Hasty Snail Baby, and consisted of Yamatsuka Eye, Yoshimi P-We (pre-Boredoms), and Yoshikawa. Eye started the project so he could play guitar, but later replaced it with a sampler. Yoshikawa quit and was replaced by Katsumi, the bassist for Omoide Hatoba, so the name was changed.
